Its HOLZZ baby! =D

YAY!! The long awaited Holz is finally here!

Did I hear someone mention exams? Pfffft. Thats OVER! haha. =)

So ECA plans you ask?

Again. Poor attendance record. Ishh people. Couldn't you guys have waited an extra day or 2 before going back? Hmmm.. but maybe its not my place to say anything since I'm a local and won't really understand how it feels to be away from home for such a long time. hehe. But oh well. At least you guys could have made it to the lunchhh!?!

So yes. The final ECA for this part of the semester before the holz was a farewell lunch! Not a real farewell whereby someone's leaving of course. Just a farewell for now kinda thing. haha.

Attendees: BenJo (Lets call them that from now on. =P), Ethan (FINALLY on the ECA list. hahaha), AJK (Jon, Nell, Sec/Me), Sean.

Oh. Wait. Few updates before that. On Thursday (4/9) was Nick's bday!! =) Happy 18th Nicky!
And, yeah, i'm starting to understand your P.O.V. Nick. Thanks for the post. =)

Ohh.. and besides the Farewell Lunch today (5/9), the AJKs + Ethan had a small ECA outing on wednesday while majority (snickers. hehehee) were studying their physics. =P It was supposed to be a mini celebration for those non-physics people coz "TECHNICALLY" (ppl who got chem lab 2 for their Bio Prac exam wd get the joke/sarcasm) we finished our exams... i mean lets face it. TKS paper 1? I wouldnt call that an exam. I'd say its just a waste of time. I mean, those who dont do well means you got no thinking skills? Wat the.... and then its Bio prac as the last paper. Err... That one... well. practical theres hardly much to study la, so dont really count as an exam paper also. haha. or maybe we're just looking forward to the holz too much that we don't care ade. haha

Anyway, let me just outline what we did for that day. TECHNICALLY, it wasn't really an ECA day but Ethan wanted it to be coz he's always NOT on the list of ECA attendees.. haha. So yeah. It became an ECA outing. And it was supposed to be at Sunway but since Nellie didn't wanna go all the way there, decided to go to OU (One Utama shopping centre) where its closer to her. haha. So day started out with Jon picking up Ethan and me from college coz I had to return a super-duper overdued book to the library and then we were off to OU! Oh but I got carried away talking in the car and managed to almost get ourselves lost. haha. Good thing I recognized the area a bit and just relied on the signboards til i got to familiar ground. haha. Took Jon through 2 tolls though (I feel quite bad because in the original route, there are NO tolls at all. haha. SORRY JON!). If Nellie knew she would be like @#$%^&... 2 TOLLS?!? hahah. jk nell. =P

When we got to OU, got parking, went into the lift, I decided to main tekan elevator buttons coz it was only 11 am-ish and no one was around in the elevator with us. haha. Saw this button - UR. We were like, "oooh UR! Whats that?" haha. So we went up all the way, its actually just the Upper Roof and there were Batting Cages!! and also a Futsal field!! Even I didn't know about that! SO COOL! Too bad it wasn't open though.. So then anyway, we went down, went to look for Ethan's swimming goggles and then went for breakfast. The WHOLE time the secretary was being bullied k. Its not funny. Ethan, mau makan FRENCH, nih prez lagi satu, nak makan ITALIAN. I was like WT%? haha. And they couldn't make up their mind. Ask me to pick coz they wanted to eat what I want to eat in front of me to torture me (I was fasting).. BULLIES! Ended up in the end going to DeliFRANCE to get FRENCH food. hahahaha. dodos =P

About 20mins later, Nellied joined us and she also had her brunch there and then we spent the whole day goin around the mall looking for Nellie and her bf's anni present for him. After that, we went to play pool. Prez complained pool table small la (Actually, I just realized it after he pointed it out. Haven't gone to play there since.... 2 years ago? haha). But anyway, we still played. I WON THE FIRST GAME! hahahahhahaa... Shouldve seen prez's face. Like he couldn't believe it was happening. haha. But anyway played another 3 games, 2nd game Ethan played against prez and other 2 I played. Prez nasib baik won those two games, or if not he said he'd cry. haha. Oh well. Then Nellie and Ethan went off somewhere dont know where so left prez and I to bowl (the bowling alley is at the same place as the pool area). Decided on one game only coz Nellie had to go by 3.30 and it was already 2.45. Heheh. I finally found a game that I'm better at than Jon the compulsive gamer! hahah. Just the way I do it is strange apparently coz Nellie and Ethan came back halfway and said I do this funny hop just before I throw the ball. hahah. Wtv. Its for that reason the ball always hits the pins. ahhahah..
Won the game by a fair bit but then still had a bit of time so played one more game. This one Prez won coz I did quite badly in a few rounds (fingers getting tired =P) and summore by some fluke (haha. jk) the prez got a strike in the 9th round. Ish. Only coz of that he got higher than me slightly. cehhh. And then the outing ended. So in other words, I had my fun (minus the bullying session) but don't know about the rest.. hehe.

Now on the farewell lunch!
So we finished our Bio Practical today at 1.30pm. The last exam!! =) The AJK planned on having this farewell lunch the night before but because we only managed to tell the rest on the day itself, some had other plans already and some had planes/buses to catch to go back hometown! So it was left with those 7 whose names are above. But it doesn't matter coz we still enjoyed ourselves with the few people who attended. Wished though that more of you could have joined. Well next time la I suppose. Just that its always very hard to make plans because everyone is always unsure of something or thinking of doing something else but wants to join too, and some people want to do other stuff. So last minute plans are always taking place because we have to compromise so that everyone who comes will enjoy themselves. =) It is quite annoying I admit, to have last minute plans sometimes but hey, life is only fun when things are spontaneously done and not always planned all the time. Right? ;)

Anyway, with only the 7 of us, we took 4 cars. o_O" hahaha. But thats because most of those who came along are those who also have plans so were leaving a bit earlier ard 3pm. So we decided to go to this new sushi place called Sushi Zanmai that Jon's friend suggested to him. The setting was very very nice I think. And the waiters and waitress were so nice and friendly. =) We ordered a LOT of food. Blame the prez. haha. He and his dreams of belanja-ing us all. BenJo were providing a bit of entertainment coz Jo couldn't finish her large katsudon that Ben insisted she order so we were laughing at them while trying to figure out how to help Joanne. haha. Sean and Ethan also were being funny. Nellie and I were mostly eating (though I was getting bullied as usual by my dumdumb twin and Ethan)... So yeah. very lively atmosphere. haha.

Sean was the first to leave though coz he had a movie to go to. When the waiter wanted to refill his cup, we said, "Its ok. He's not here anymore" ... haha. then Nellie left next and we said, "Its ok. She's not here anymore" when they wanted to refill her cup. hahhha.. Then we were joking, and sed if we all left, we get someone to say for us, "Its ok. They're not here anymore" hahahha. I don't know why but we found it quite funny. haha. Ethan left next and then BenJo. My bro also was on his way to fetch me so I needed to take my bag that I left in Jon's car. hahaha... This is the funny part.

He couldn't remember which floor he parked at!! hahhha. And I also didnt look at the floor when we came to Sunway so we were both lost. haha. Went to the 4th floor, couldnt find the car after we walked a bit around the car park so I sed I thought it was on the 3rd. Went down, STILL can't find it so Jon said, I'm sure its the floor above la.. haha. So back to the 4th. Not there at all! ahhhaha. Finally he called Nellie and asked. haha. It was on the 5th. hahahha.. wat the. And apparently, after the OU outing also, the prez was also looking for his car with Ethan and went round and round... hahhaha.. Kesian Ethan. haha.

And so that ends the ECA outings for this half sem. haha. Its been fun!! I can't believe its been 6 months which means half a year since we all got to know each other. Phew. haha. How time flies. Oh well. Hopefully there are more fun times to come after holz and we shall work harder for our FINALS!! AGHHHH.... stop. Ignore that for the moment and just enjoy holz first. haha. Worry about that later.

So
Happy Holz Ppl!!

-The randomly-retarded-cheerful-crazy-crapping Sec. =P

Oh. I "demand" the Prez (as his twin and sec) to also say a few words and add a P.S. to this! hahha.

P.S. ...(h)
What you want me to say? Like you did a good job again with the post by our ever OCPD secretary? Lolz. Anyway job well done and I see you managed to finish it before the deadline, 11.59pm tonight. Satisfied?
Just wanna say a few words.
  1. Nick, I see your POV now and will respect your decisions
  2. Sorry for the last minute planning thing. Next time the AJKs will be more efficient and plan ahead.
  3. Happy holidays to all PM14-ers.
When you guys coming back to Subang so we can have class ECA together? Thought of spending the whole day at Sunway Water Park. List down your available dates on Cbox, the AJKs will do the planning.

The EVIL un-lame un-crappy un-romantic ANNOYING, BIG BULLY of a Prez out. (words in bold added courtesy of the sec. =P)

*Did as my twin/sec demanded. Happy and satisfied?

A story of my own

I suppose I’m here to complete the "Stories of our own", assuming that mine carries a certain weightage in PM14. I ride upon the nod given to me more than a month ago by our prez, and by the cautious "yes" from Vicky. I also acknowledge that the topic I am about to bring up is indeed pretty touchy - no other reason it was conveniently never mentioned upon this blog. I will acknowledge the removal of this without question, but I do NOT permit editing this in any way that it may be of benefit to anyone.

And so it begins (Sry, for the occasional typos, typing in dark here...)

That turning point so finely placed more than a month ago, i doubt anyone finds it hard to recall. No doubt an extreme change in attitude was uncalled for - I didn’t plan for this! - , but upon reflection I find it right. No Doubt you may have a different deduction - which is obvious by the way the class reacted - but I reinstate my will here to only communicate the blunt emotions within that fragile vessel of my soul.

At first it was obvious that he – or you know who – showed utterly no trust, so much so as the sliver of confidence in us to take care of our phones – a potent necessity for any outstation student. I build my case upon his lack of trust, a simple trust that has more intricate implications that I can list. As fate would have it, trust is something I value deeply in any form of relationship. Without this simple trust, I believe, a relationship dwindles to nothing more than stranger-stranger. But as time would have it, I valued him in a relationship I thought was of a much higher level, something more than what some people coin the lecturer-student. And so, the higher I pursued this relationship, the harder I was destined to fall.

And fall hard I did. I think it was painstakingly obvious that I was unpleased, or simply disgusted, by what he did. It’s a fact that everyone noticed that, of course including him. My argument here is that he has failed to even ask for my opinion on that matter. I quote from him on that day itself, “I suggest you turning off your phone and…”. For the next week or so, I’m sure most of you remembered that I appeared reluctant to surrender my phone. He noticed, and when I reminded him of my displeasure, he responded with an instant “put your phone or get out of class” thing. In doing so, he has shown utterly no respect in my opinion, so much so as not to inquire it. I would think that he has done so in believing that it will benefit of the whole class, but in ignoring my opinion, it simply shows that he generalizes all the reactions. Is it safe to say that if most is happy with something, everyone should be fine about it?

My next reason, which took some time for me to fully grasp the concept, was the infringement of personal responsibility. Our phones, as I view it, is a big part of our responsibilities. Our parents trust us to take care of it, the college trusts us to keep it silent, our lecturers trust us not to use it as a weapon of mass disruption. The list goes on, much like anything that has been bequeath upon you. But he has infringed upon that basic line of trust. He showed us that we are incapable of handling basic responsibilities. And as a simple insurance to ensure we do, he has simply threatened us with the “throw your phone out of the window if it makes a noise”. Of course, I cant say if he would do it, but it all boils down to the fact that he’s saying that we’re incapable of keeping our own responsibilities intact and that he can control us like little kiddies with lollipops. Or in amore provocative manner, he is causing indignity amongst us and of course disruption of self esteem.

I’ve basically underlined the root of my case, its developments I shall only impart if a further discussion is warranted. In sincere hope I post this in hope that at least some may at least understand what I’ve been doing, at most support me. And of course to prevent that annoying “but it’s a small matter” phrase from cropping up again. Indeed, this is no small matter, it envelopes part of my belief, my ego, and has become a story of my own.

Sincerely, Nick Ting.
