Anyway. haha. This week we were planning on going to the fireworks competition since it was the grand finale and all. Last show of the year.

BUUUTTTT

Yea. We're in the middle of our AS trials so lots n lots of people decided not to go. What la you people. One night only.. I'm sure most of you guys spent half the night not studying right?? So, I managed to take some pictures... theyre not exactly very professional so not very clear and doesnt really give an idea of how good the show was but at least you get glimpses of what you missed. =P haha.

I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking.

Time for me to make a post!!!!

Hey its the assistant secretary here aka Brenda! (Am I?- gotta ask prez about that)

Anyways, time for me to make a post since the secretary has made so many tremendously long ones.... so, we had a depressing Thursday where we had our chemistry practical test. I couldn't finish it and so did many other people except Vicks and Nicks, (hey! they rhyme! Lolz!). I have nothing to say about this except what's in the past is over... If you feel you haven't done well now, then do better next time! Its just trials like what prez said... Aim for the finals! (Although I am pretty stressed out about the whole trials tests...writing this post helps me "de-stress" myself)

Okok moving on to the next topic, (I always seem to get side-tracked)

We had our horrible maths test today-except for some like the secretary-... Well, for me I kind of freaked out at the end because I realised I knew how to do the fourth question and there was now time!!!! anyways.... thank god it isn't the finals... I would try harder... same goes for you guys! Now, lets prepare bio! and thinking kills...oops! thinking skills! Lolz!

OK I think I have to say this as soon as possible! I DEMAND posts from those who have never written them before... like from Benjamin, Joanne, Yee Thong... I dunno! so many of you! It always seems that its either Farrah, Jon, Vicky (rarely now), Nellie (at times), once from Kaizia, one from Elena introducing a website, sometimes from Chai Yee and of course, me...(sorry if I missed out others) the rest, neil! I hope you guys would do it after the trials! I would ask AJK members to not write posts and let all of you write! pls? at least one!

So, secretary is planning for the fireworks competition trip this Friday, anyone going? Sorry, assist. secretary can't make it, as she is hopelessly tied down to study at home... BTW, the admission is free! If not, you gotta pay like hundred over to watch according to Chai Yee last time...

Oh yes! Anyone got ideas about what to do after AS? PM15 wanted to ask us to join them to go to Langkawi... Farrah has other things up her sleeve, (I saw her little blue notebook a.k.a planner the other day!) like giving someone a makeover, going to one of our houses to have BBQ and sleepover... well, smth along the lines like that.. I just had a peek! Any other ideas are welcome!

Well, I gotta go, have to study bio... sorry if my post is not sooooooooo long as secretary's, after all I am ASSISTANT secretary, so shorter posts are acceptable rite? usually busy...Lolz! (half lie, half true)

Nothing special about this week ECA. Had curry mee together except me and Farrah. Nothing much happened other than Sin Yen attended the ECA for the second time and without Pei Pei (usually they're together). Wanted to have shisha at night but many couldn't make it because exam's around the corner. Haiz...Never mind...

Anyway, I the prez doodled during the whole Chemistry period. The most boring subject ever thanks to Auntie Ng PC. Here's my 'masterpiece' saying 'RELAX CHILL!' with a smiley face. (Nell upload the pic for me, thanks)

Besides, there is a joke of the week in PM14 as quoted by Victor the Class Rep.
"peipei shot her phone into the toilet bowl GOALLL!!!! ole ole ole ole!"
Yeah, Pei Pei dropped her Sony Ericsson W850 into the toilet bowl. Like Farrah dropped hers the other day but Pei Pei couldn't recover her phone unlike Farrah. Sad case for Pei Pei, lost all her contacts and her messages which are very meaningful to her. But don't worry, look at the bright side Pei Pei get to buy a new phone. Lolz.

Basically these is what happened over the week, nothing special other than the Pei Pei's phone incident.

P.S. - Sec here. Prez *ahem* 'conveniently' forgot about the chem practical exam we took on thurs. haha. I dont blame him though. I doubt anyone would like to remember it at all. I take it as a lesson learnt though. I mean what's done is done right? Nothing left to do but to get on with life and make sure you know where your mistakes lie (like you took too long in titration, wasted time in the QA, etc) then fix em the next time round. Just think how lucky it is its just TRIALS and not the REAL AS exam (the prez likes to call it the BIG FISH. he doesnt care about little fish apparently. haha). Though I'd still prefer if they had had a mock practical exam before this trials. Not a very nice first experience for an exam I would say.. Anyway, nice try by the prez here on the post. Though no one beats me when it comes to story telling with my extensive W.P.M. or in this case, W.T.P.M. (words TYPED per minute) hahah.. =P

Here's our ECA report of the week!
Part 1: Sunway Pyramid outing
Part 2: Steamboat!

First of all. Sad news. On Thursday we got the awful news from Qing De that she was going off to Intech (is that how you spell it? Coz I dont really know about it) on a scholarship. Sigh. Damn depressing. Another person leaving. And we all thought that that was it. After July term started, no one would leave anymore. Guess we were wrong. Friday was her last day and Qing also just got the news on Thursday. What a rush. We had planned to do a steamboat dinner on Friday night for celebration of our haunted house success and also Elena's bday on Saturday plus all July people's bday. All happy occasions but now with Qing De's farewell, it kinda brought the happiness level a bit more down.


So after our dumb chem test, those non-physics people were supposed to wait as usual for the physics ppl before we can go anywhere. Yee thong, chai yee and all wanted to go to sunway first to get the presents so thats what happened. So left the ECA AJK people alone in the cafeteria. Do what? As usual la. Chat about stuff happening in class. Then decided to go to the Vick's place there to sort out some stuff left from the haunted house in Jon's car. Still had extra time to hang around so we just blasted music from Nell's car, I played basketball in the middle of the road, Nellie played santa claus and snow with cotton and Jon just watched us crazy people running around the road. haha. Nell got cotton all over herself and chased after me to get some on me too. In the end she stopped when she got a good look at the amount of cotton stuck to her. hahah.


Finally! All of them came to Vicks place. Nell got a call from her bf though and it turns out he'll join us so Nell decided to pick him up before joining us at sunway. So in the end the ones driving were, Sean, Jon and Joanne. But ended up Ben drove Joanne's car with her in it of course and in Sean's car was Pei2, Elena, Qing De and Vicky. Jon's car was Brenda, Nick and me. Reach there ade decided to go J.co for smth lite since we were having dinner at 6pm and it was steamboat buffet. Kaizia and Chaiyee they all joined us there. Brenda and Jon bought 2 dozen doughnuts at first i think.. then another half dozen? Not really sure, cant stand looking at the doughnuts. Too sweet looking it makes me wanna hurl. hehe. Here, have a look.

So then. I took more photos with Qing and Elena and some random ones here and there. Nick left and then after J.co we all were discussing what to do. In the end most agreed to go bowling but some of the girls wanted to shop for a few more things first. So we split and wandered about. Brenda got some stuff for Qing and Elena then Vicks and I headed off to bowling alley.
Guess what?? COMPETITION going on! Noooooooooooooo! Not a repeat of Friday 13th!!
So we decided to ice skate instead.

AGAIN! twice the same bad luck. There were skaters preparing for the ice skating competition taking place the next day so it was closed off. WTH man. Sigh. Just when almost everyone was there to enjoy an outing together, all the fun activities couldn't be carried out.
So then Brenda, Jon, Vicks and I decided to do archery. But then we chose a package for only 3 ppl so Vicks said nvm coz he's done it before. Brenda and I suffered embarrassment the first 10 shots? haha. We sucked so badly we couldnt even get the arrow to hit the board at all. The people who worked there were very nice though, kept giving pointers and stuff. Finally I sort of got the hang of it. It was pretty fun, release tension a bit from not getting to bowl or skate. hehe. Tiring though. Until today my left shoulder is in pain. ugh. We then joined the others and went on shopping. Then we lepak at the carpark to wrap some presents and wait for the others to finish the shopping. Then off we went to the steamboat restaurant where Nellie was waiting with Jason.


Jun Shuo joined us there surprisingly. Then the eating began. Whoo. Now here's the funny part. heheh. The restaurant serves some bbq chicken in the buffet but there's always a rush for it and its gone in less than a minute. So what happened was, Vicks wanted to go get some but couldn't so the next round, he and JS pakat to get the chicken no matter what! haha.. So we were all eyeing the lady who supposedly comes every 15mins to bring the chicken. The other tables also seemed to do the same. There was real competition I tell you, for those chicken. haha. When it came, JS and Vicks tried scooping up the chicken with 2 plates but it was hard coz most people just simply picked the chicken of their plates using their tongs so at the end of it all, JS got a few only. haha. We were all talking when the next round came and hardly anyone noticed because it was barely 5 mins before that the last chicken platter came so when it came it was a surprise. Then someone shouted, "chicken!!" and then u saw Chai Yee rush off and grab the nearest tongs and started picking up as many as she could while vicks went off also to join the fray. haha.


So what was the score? Vicks - 1. Chai Yee - A LOT! hahah. surprise surprise!! And she found it so hysterically funny that she could barely stand up. haha. we were all laughing by then and clapping her performance. It was really unexpected man. haha. Chai Yee went high after that and was so full of energy the rest of the dinner. Then things went back to normal. We went on eating. Then at the end of it all, Brenda and Jon brought the presents from the car and gave them to Qing and Elena. Qing De looked so happy. haha. like a little girl. Doesnt she always?? =P Took lots of pics with her then we had the cake also brought and sang happy birthday to Elena. Cut the cake then took more pics and then it was the end. Brenda had to go home early, everyone else was still tired from a few days ago. And we were all stuffed full with dinner. phew



Strangely enough. JS seemed to get along fine with the rest of the class with the exception of a few I think. It was all so surreal. haha. But good. Its a new experience.


All in all, it was a pretty happy occasion though tinged with sadness about Qing's going away.

Of Carnivals and Haunted Houses

So im gonna do 2 separate posts, one abt the Haunted House preparations and the carnival itself and the other one is on this week's ECA and latest happenings... one celebration and one a farewell. sighh...


Here goes the haunted house one.

Well, we had all planned to start the preparation stuff on Monday but as things had been going so far at that time, we couldn't start it in the end. Surprise? Pfft. Anyway. We DID get to finally meet PL4 people in person. Khoo was the one in charge and he was a really nice easygoing guy. Very PM14 type. haha. We all hit it off instantly and began discussing about the horror/haunted house in detail and he agreed very graciously to do things our way though he wasn't really sure about the rest of his class (they weren't there with him).

So we ended the discussion and we had decided to just inform the office that we would be staying over late in college the next day maybe til midnight to prepare the haunted house, just in case ot wasn't allowed. Nell and I went to the office then to ask the SAM people coz C17 and C19 were usually used by the SAM classes. When we got there we were told to see the ass.dir. of program and we were then dropped a bombshell - "C19 is being used for a class from 8-9am on Wed morning. I dont think you can use it. I doubt its the class you're using" - is what that woman said.Nellie and I were like WTH????? It was like a nightmare. Why was it everytime things seemed to be smoothened out already, another wrinkle would show up?? We called Jon to call Ivan to call a Ms Choo who was in charge to get her to straighten things up by that day. By night time, it was confirmed - we have C17 and C19!! Phew.. Stress us only man.


So next morning, Jon printed out the posters and all and I picked them up from the shop. It was nice! Very pretty and all. We decided to go for Bio then Chem then it wd be double phys and break = 3 hours free time. We planned to go to my house, pick up the toiletbowl and all then do somemore shopping for the rest of the stuff we might need for the setting up. Yeethong and Ethan decided to come along and help. Wheee. so the more the merrier. By the time we did all the shopping though, we went overtime and missed the second period of chem, and also maths. haha. the last was tks but who wants to go for that?? So we decided in the end to ponteng EVERYTHING. yayy! hahah. teruk teruk. We got some newspapers and cardboards from Yeethongs place then headed back to taylors around 4pm.

Then the work began. We hauled most of the stuff we needed except the toilet stuff and at the classroom we began arranging the tables and all. The guys of PL4 were really helpful (minus a few of them) but the girls..... well. as khoo put it himself.. they were kinda like "tai ka jie"s. Dont really wanna do the physical work, when ask them to do their work somewhere else coz people need to set up that area, they still never move. Aiseh man. Susah betul. I lost my temper a bit a few times. Scared a few people I think. Vicky and Ben especially pull me one side ask me whats wrong. haha.. sorry you guys! Tension la and stress make me like that. Coz it was already 7pm plus and things were still barely half done. Of course la I naik angin. Mrs Mary Ng also came to visit, talk to us, ask us to make our own coupons and stuff. Give advice then gave us permission to stay as late as we want. =D She's nicer than expected. hehe. Ah. but its all for charity anyway rite?

Well. Quite a few things happened along the way that time. I fell down while walking on the tables. Painful man but it was ok la. Just hard to breathe a bit for a few hours and my chest felt sore. We seemed like we almost ran out of cloth and kinda panicked coz we wouldnt have time to get some more at that time (turns out it we had enough actually). Then it began going well already. I could see things shaping up properly, the maze looked more like a maze and people were being abit more productive than they were before. And then. as usual. SOMETHING had to go wrong slightly. I bumped into a friend whos in the SAM programme. She told me that her class was doing something like a maze thing too in the dark only that hers was a "Hunt In the Dark". A treasure hunt. So nothing special right? Hear this - they have a RM20 000 sponsorship for their prizes. WTH rite? Who wouldn't wanna go for it? So we basically had a tough competition. VERY TOUGH. How to counter we wondered? Pricing la was the only way. But it was worrifying. What happens if we still don't get enough customers with it being so cheap already?...

More people began going home around 10pm or so. Those who did anyway weren't really helpful in the beginning so it didnt really make a difference. We moved in the toilet bowl, got the saw room properly done and by 3/4am it was almost all done!! By then the ones doing the most work was Khoo, Kevin and the most of PM14. I admit its also coz we kept spending too much time discussing abt things and then halfway doing things we end re-discussing. hehe. Bad planning I guess. Sort of our fault for not preparing things earlier. So by the time we finished, most people were like zombies already. Vicky, Ben, Sean, Andrew and Chai Yee you could see were waaaay beyond exhaustion and I already used up most of my natural high. The place was still in a mess though but we still wud have time from 7-9am to clean up so we decided to just go back to our respective places tht we had planned to overnight at and get some rest. First though we had a short supper at mcd where me and vicky got into a debate about politics. haha. That woke him up a bit. =D


So Andrew overnighted at Vicks and Ben went home. The rest of us girls, Yeethong, Chaiyee, Elena and me plus Jon went to Elena's place coz we were all still pretty awake and didn't want to fall asleep. Jon especially was high, dancing in front of mcd to "hollerback girl". Most hilarious dancing ever. hahha. So at Elena's place, as what usually happens, we ended up sleeping though we didn't want to. haha. At 7 we woke up and Jon and I started stressing, worrying things wont get ready in time. Rushed over to coll to find most people also not there yet. Started clearing up the haunted house and then people arrived, Brenda came with all muffins. We started properly setting up the saw room.. etc. And then the carnival started.

At the start, things weren't going so well coz we didn't have time for a test run before the carnival started to test things out properly that morning. So maybe in the first hour, most of the customers just said it was ok. But by the next 2 hours, i think vic and the rest of the scarers got a hang of things and began having fun. haha. Jon and I jaga the entrance, Chai Yee and Kaizia were in charge of the coupon booth. I timed the intervals between groups. Then somethings began going wrong. First some dungu slammed the whiteboard bordering the saw room and spoilt the whiteboard abit. Had to put things on hold for awhile and fix things. Took about 10 mins or so. Teruk. Then after that the lighting fixture kept falling. Also took about 5 mins to fix amidst some groups still inside the haunted house. And people began wrecking the saw room. By then, things were pretty out of control but we couldnt pause anymore coz the line for the haunted house was LOOOONG. As in VERY. Oh. I forgot to mention we reduced the price of rm5 to rm3 due to the competition factor. So maybe thats why we had lots of customers. Some claimed they lined up for 1 hour ade. haha. wow.


We had mixed reviews. Most female customers said it was scary. Most guys came out laughing saying it was hilarious and not really scary. But anyway. what matters was that we seemed to be making money to cover our costs and still give enough for charity. =)

We continued the whole day till 2pm plus then cleaned up till 3pmish. We then went for lunch at AC together with Elaine, Jon's "friend" then everyone headed back home ard 5pm. What a day man. By the end of it all, evryone was seriously in need of rest and relaxation coz we all only rested max 3 hrs the night before!! I myself was about to drop dead coz the past few days before that also I hardly got rest. Thats all for the haunted house.


So total profit? - RM1195. Not including the cost price of course. Woohoo!! heheh.


We were still very stressed though coz Friday we had so many things to do - chem test. maths ass. eca plans..All about it in the next post!!

Coordinator and Prez

OK.

Long story short. We're merging with PL14 and PL15. They've agreed to use our concepts and ideas and we've tried explaining most of it online. So we've bought the drapes, paint, mahjong paper, and thread. We're starting preparations tmr. Hopefully it goes well. We're also gonna discuss with them a bit more on our plans.

I know. we haven't changed the classes in charge yet. I'll get Qing on it asap.

Disaster...

Got a message from Farrah saying her dad managed to get the toilet bowl and basin for us. I'm relieved reading her message but right after i finish reading her message, Ivan called. He's the one in charge of arranging classrooms and venue for the charity carnival. He said PL14 and PL15 is doing haunted house too and they went to Ivan two weeks ago. By priority, they should get the classrooms and suggested we merge with PL14 and PL15. After I heard the news, i started cursing...

Moments later, PL14 and PL15 called me and they suggests we merge with them for the haunted house. I talked to them and it seems that they doesn't have a theme or plan like ours and theirs in just an ordinary haunted house. I doubt that their haunted house idea will be as good as ours. Anyway here is the latest poster for our haunted house. It's much better than the previous one and totally fits our theme (credits to Qing De).

I'll meet up with them on next Monday and discuss about it. Hopefully we can come to an agreement and use our idea of haunted house or better still they'll hand over the haunted house project to us.

After days of planning, this news slapped us real hard. All the planning comes to a waste (hopefully not). I'll try to convince them to use our ideas as our haunted house ideas are too perfect to be compromised. LoLz.

Farrah here again. So I was made as the official secretary of PM14. (I'm not exactly thankful of that though.. hmmph)

SHORT (as the president specified) update.

Oh right. Just to let you guys know. Our ECA prez is Jonathan and Vice Prez is Nellie. Vicky claims to be Coordinator and I'm the unwilling secretary.

The charity carnival is next week at TUCSJ! We PM-14 have come up with a great idea for those still in the blur about the plans.... of doing a HORROR house!! =D

Our theme is SAW (you know that thriller horror movie?). Cool eh? I came up with it (bragging =D).

Anyway. Here is our poster that my dear pet koala (i.e. Qing De) made for our advertising. =)

Nice right?? Im trying to convince Qing De to make the words "psychological horror house" and "SAW" bigger so it catches more attention. =D

Want to know how it'll turn out? Then you pm14ers must get involved and those non pm14, get your butts to the horror house on Wednesday, 6 August 2008! We need all hands on deck right now you know. Besides that. We're having a mini bakesale of cookies, muffins and still thinking (brownies). So you won't go hungry waiting in line or downstairs too for tht matter. =)

This is so short...
